We had the choice to chose to do either print or film for our media project.
I decided on print as I felt it was more flexible and creative. I am really interested in art and design and therefore felt as though I would be able to put more or my personality into print. When doing the preliminary task, I realised that film had a lot more restrictions than print, with print I could pick the colours, the theme, the target audience and many more aspects of the magazine, where as for film I had to use specific shots.
Also when doing the preliminary tasks, I realised that I was learning new skills on photoshop. I don't want these new skills to go to waste, and I am hoping that I am going to be expanding these new skills and learning more about photoshop by creating this magazine.
I also chose print as I am very interested in music and by picking print I can share my views and opinions and use my artistic flair to show my target audience what I'm interested in and hopefully there will be a gap in the market for my magazine to fit. I think by researching music i will also learn more and this will be more interesting for me because i love music, design and art, rather than making a film.
