after being inspired by the magazine cover of INDIE, I decided to look at some of the other covers, I noticed that they all have strong images and I have realised that a powerful image is very important. they all also have plain backgrounds, this shows that they don't need to put a lot on the cover to sell the magazine, they know its popular.

I am going to research lots of other magazines and look at the contents pages and to see double page spreads, this is too see the layouts and how they make their magazines unique from others.
