I have decided to research more into the Indie Rock genre. This is because i have realized that my target audience are more interested in Indie music and i feel that this genre combines fashion and music. i feel through strong photography i can really make my magazine stand out. 

Indie Rock

Indie Rock is a genre of music that originated from the United Kingdom and the United States in the 1980's and earlier. The turn is often used instead of 'independent underground music '. Most Indie artists are independent they work without record labels. They are in control of their own careers and usually only turn to major record labels mid career.

-To help inspire me with what to write in my magazine, i am going to research current Indie Artists. i am also going to be looking at Indie fashion so that i can create powerful images.

a current indie artist is florence and the machine, she has a unique voice and a unique style. she has performed at many festivals including T in the park and reading festival. people get easily inspired by her and she has praise in the music industry. She is an inspirational celebrity to focus my magazine on.

Indie Fashion

i have decided to look at different people and see their fashion and the things they do which make them inspire people and stay fresh and unique, the way i want my magazine to be. 

at the moment there are many artists that i want to base my magazine on as in my magazine i want to combine fashion and music.

i found florence and the machine very inspiring, she has a powerful image.

Ke$ha

I really like Ke$ha's style. she is really laid back and different. she gives of a rebellious and seductive image. She dresses in a provocative way and her music is all about partying and 'raving'. Her style is what makes her stand out, she dosn't care what people think and dosn't dress classy just because she is famous. she is very down to earth and thats what i want my magazine to resemble. teenagers are very inspired by her 'i dont care' personality and this is good as it shows she will be around the market for a long time. she has a powerful strong image. she often wares tights and baggy t-shirts, ripped genes with big trainers. things that look good but you dont have to spend alot on. 

Effy- Skins

I really like the character off Effy and all the charisma that comes with her personality. she has a rebellious image and a cool sense of style. many people are inspired by the way she can pull of almost anything and i want my magazine to have the same confidence as she has. her character doesn't say much but has a lot of meaning and a positive response to her personality, she uses few words with big impact. i want my magazine to portray that and also to show her style in images that i use to show how style is important to the music industry.

Britney Spears

I am really inspired by Britney spears and her sense of style. she believes that any publicity is good publicity and doesn't care what people think of her. She often wears less rather than more but can pull it off. she also has a seductive and rebellious image and also a bit of a bad girl reputation. i hope to show her influence on me in my magazine. 

Now that i have more understanding about the target genre and the style that is the most popular, i wish to combine these aspects to help my magazine stand out and fit the gap in the market.
